Modular Column Protectors - MCP

Structured columns in a large open plan warehouse require impact protection from numerous fast moving electric forklifts. And where engineering constraints dictate that there can be no penetrations / fixings in either the columns or the floor at their base.

MCP’s consist of two components. 1. The outer impact / containment shell 2. The silicone rubber absorption core. MCP’s can be made to suit any shape column and require no fixings other than the four countersunk screws holding the two outer shells together.

The absorption core is manufactured from resilient silicone rubber, while the outer shells are a 6mm thick mild steel galvanised for additional protection.
Moulded to the exact shape of the column the absorption core is a perfect fit. MCP’s can be fitted or removed at any time due to the modular design.
With the absorption core in place the outer shells simply slip around the core and are fixed in place with the four screws provided.
The completed installation can be fitted in minutes, require no fixings into the original column or floor. The round shape of the outer shells also helps to deflect impending impacts.
