If you have either galvanised only or powder coated and you have the bollard in a garden bed with mulch, will this cause it to corrode?
Short answer
YES! Unfortunately, anything will degrade/corrode over time in the ground - the power of mother earth!
Long answer
All product has a life span. But it will depends on the moisture, acidity, salt level and type of soil in the ground. Hot dip galvanising will have a longer life span in comparison to powder coating, which is why it is commonly used in civil construction, transmission towers, telecommunication equipment, and agricultural industry.
