Which speed humps are more durable rubber, plastic or steel?

The answer to this question depends on the application and use of the speed humps. The obvious answer is that steel would be more durable, but what if they are being installed by the seaside? In this instance, plastic speed humps may be better suited because they won’t rust in the salt air and can still withstand some truck traffic. Alternatively, if the speed humps are to be installed in a busy transport depot and subjected to constant heavy truck traffic, heavy duty steel speed humps would be more appropriate.

Plastic speed humps are well suited to high traffic situations with occasional heavy truck traffic, such as a shopping centre carparks, whereas rubber speed humps are best used only for low volume car traffic areas such as residential unit developments, etc.
